For most of us, life is a rushed tempo and blur of motion, where peace and rest seem ever out of reach. These songs were written in the spaces and moments where I could just sit and play, explore chords, tones, moods, consider musical styles and influences and find joy and rest in the sound of the acoustic guitar. The first verses of Psalm 23 say it so well; The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. he makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside still waters, He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness, I have also been graced with the incredible blessing of walking this musical journey with my beautiful and unbelievably talented, multi-instrumentalist vocalist and wife, Bonnie Foxley, who is so much more than my soul mate and friend, musical collaborator who helped craft these songs and arrangements; her faith in Christ, love and gracious heart have been the encouragement that I and our family have relied on each day. I cherish our time together and am so looking forward to making more Life Notes with you Babe.
